<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thanks for the ref but frankly "newsmax" is about the most oxymoronic choice of names that outfit could have possibily chosen. If it came out in print I wouldn't wipe my ass with it even the only other choice had 60 grit printed on the back.Originally posted by Lew:

The only one I had handy was from your favorite site, Newsmax.com...
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, I've seen a few articles here and there but they all resolve down to what the paper had to say with little elaboration after the initial story broke. I was amused to see a paper in Ireland thinks that the paper is suing and that it seeks $1 million damages. But I have heard this on more legitimate news sources as well.
As far as I can tell the only thing that's happened so far is the paper wrote a letter complaining and asked for $1.00 compensatory damages.
Haven't heard any response and the stories that I've read really don't add anything. I was hoping someone would have a clip online but that doesn't seem to be happening. Guess I'm going to have to go see it again.
A question that I have is what sort of window of liability would it open for moore if he paid that $1.00. Would it be an admission of copyright infringement or something else and would it set him up for a real suit down the line?
